4. Gentle Scrubbing: Using gentle, circular motions, start scrubbing your body with the wet sponge. Begin at your feet and work your way up, paying special attention to areas prone to dryness and roughness, such as elbows, knees, and heels. Avoid using the sponge on broken skin.
5. Rinse and Repeat: Rinse off the soap or exfoliating product thoroughly with warm water, and then rinse the sponge to remove any residue. You can repeat the scrubbing process if desired, but be cautious not to over-exfoliate, especially if you have sensitive skin.
6. Moisturise: After exfoliating, pat your skin dry with a soft towel and apply a moisturiser to lock in hydration. Exfoliation can leave the skin feeling slightly dry, so moisturising is essential to keep it soft and supple.
7. Clean and Store: Rinse the African exfoliating sponge thoroughly after each use to remove any soap or dead skin cells. Allow it to air dry completely before storing it in a clean, dry place to prevent the growth of bacteria.
